Always learning.
Always evolving.
A perspective shaped by experience, a practice guided by curiosity.
Erica's journey into mental health has been one of continual learning and discovery. Beginning with a foundation in science, she went on to spend years caring for women and families as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Through that work, she developed a deeper appreciation for the connection between physical health, emotional well-being, and the experiences that shape our lives.
Motherhood brought another perspective. Advocating for her own children with learning differences and ADHD gave Erica firsthand insight into the challenges families can face in finding understanding, meaningful support, and appropriate care. These experiences helped inspire her transition into psychiatric mental health care and continue to inform her work.
Today, Erica brings together her clinical experience, personal perspective, and ongoing education as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and PhD candidate in Nursing. Her research interests include learning differences, neurodiversity, early identification, and improving support for children and families.
